WHEREAS, the City Commission has boon informod that a bill has
been introduced to the Florida State Legislature which would completely change
the status of. Pinellas Countyts Juvenile 1+Yelfare Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission feels that the Juvenile Welfare Board
has functioned under its present arrangement with exemplary efficiency for
years and its statue should not be altered;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby officially
and formally urges the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation to work for
the defeat of this legislation to change the status of Pinellas Cou~~ty's Juvenile
Welfare Board.
