+ WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States, by the Uniform Relocation

3'.,~ or farms by Federal and Federally assisted programs and established unifoxm
:;~ and equitable land acquisition policies for Federal and Federally assisted
programs, and providing that whenever real property is acquired by a State
Agency and furnished as a required contribution incident to a Federal Program
or pxoject, that the Federal Agency having authority over the program or
project may not accept such property unless such State agency has made all
payment and provided all assistance and assurances, as are required of a
State agency by the Act; and
'NHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, a municipal corporation,
is legally authorized to furnish the United States with assurances requixed by
Congress and desires to do so;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That without restrictions or reservation, the City of Clearwater,
Florida, agrees to and hereby assurt~es full responsibility for compliance with
the requirements of local cooperation as set forth in Public Law 91-64G,. in

acquisition or displacement occurring subsequent to Z January 1971 and prior
to 1 July 1972, the Federal Government shall pay 100 per centum of the first
$25, 000 of the coat of providing such payments and assistance.
3. That affected persona will be adequately informed of the benefits,
policies and procedures described in these assurances.
4. This assurance is hereby made applicable to the following project,
specifically identified as follows:
The requirements for local cooperation, as set forth on page
4 of House Document No. 2q3, $6th Congress, 2nd Session in
connection with the improvements for the Federal Government
of Little Pass, Clearwater Bay, Florida, authorized by Public
Law 86-645, apgroved 14 July 1960.
