WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has become aware of an increasin}i
number of accidents due to slick pavement, especially during or immediately
after rain; and
WHEREAS, State Road 60, South Myrtle Avenue (S. R. 595B} and
Ft. Harrison Avenuc tS.R. 595) seem to be the most #raubiesome areas
for this type of accident; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is desirous of xequesting the Florida
State Department of Transportation to run skid tests on these roads within
the City limits;

1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially requests the State
Department of Transportation to run skid tests on State Road 6U, South Myrtle
Avenue (S. R. 595B} and Ft. Harrison Avenue {S. R. 595} within the City
limits of the City of Ciea water.
2. That a certified copy of this resolution shall be transmitted
forthwith to the said State Department of Transportation.
