WHEREAS. the City of Clearwater is a municipality legally charters3
pursuant to Chapter 9710, Special Acts of Florida, 1923, which became a law
on July 7, 1923; and
WHEREAS. the City of Clearwater desires to participate in the Land
and Water Conservation Fund Program far the acquisition of a forty acre tract
of land East of and fronting on Lake Chatauqua for use as a public park;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T1iE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOW5:
1. The City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, dose
hereby designate Merrett R. Stierheirn, City Manager; as the liaison agent
with the State of Florida, on all matters concerning the garticipation of Clearwater
in the Land and Water Conservation Fund Pragrarn.
Z. That the City of Clearwater agrees to cooperate with the Stets of
Florida in all matters related to the necessary maintenance of Florida's
eligibility to participate in this program.
