RESOLUTION
71 - 60

WHEREAS, tha'CITY OF CLEARWATER intends to extend Drew Street
East from its present terminus with U. S. Highway #19 and
necessary right of way therefor must be obtained; and
Wt-IEREAS, an additional drainage and utility easement is re-
quired in connection with said street extension; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that said right of way and easement
be obtained immediately from the owners of the following described
property, to--wit;
NW~ of the NWT of Section 17,
Township 29 South, Range 16
East, Pinellas County, Florida,
less and except the West 100
feet thereof for right o~ way
of U. S. Highway #19 and less
and except the South 200 feet
thereof
with respect to said improvement referred to above; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has been unsuccessful, to
date, in acquiring the necessary right of way and easement for
said improvement and it is apparent that proceedings must now
be commenced to acquire the same;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the
City of Clearwater, in session duly and regularly assembled as
follows:
(1) That the right a£ way and easement hereafter described,
is necessary for public use and convenience and the Gity Attorney,
as well as all other appropriate City Officials be and they are
hereby instructed to take all steps necessary to acquire the same
by condemnation or otherwise.
