RESOLUTION
No. 71 ~ 5 9
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation plans to
construct moth{ications of the intersection of Island Way and State Road
60 Memorial Causeway); and
WHEREAS, one of the modifications is to extend the length of the
acceleration lane for eastbound traf€ic so that it will end at a point where
an opening exists in the median; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer of the City of Clearwater has stated
that this will create a hazaxdaus condition and recommended that the median
apening he closed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED HY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:

plans to provide for closing of the median opening East of Island Way on
