A RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL REFERENDUM.
ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 25, 1969,
IN SUNSET GARDENS 5UBDIti'ISiON ON THE QUESTION
OF THE APPROVAL OF THE ANNEXATION OF SUNSET
GARDENS SUBDIVISION INTO THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER OF CONDUCTING SAID
ELECTION.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, acting by and through
its City Commission has passed Ordinance No, 122? wlsich declares its
intention to annex into the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, the following described area lying contiguous to the territoxial
limits of said City, such annexation to be by referendum vote of the freeholders
in such area in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 59-956, Laws
or Special Acts of Florida of 1969 {House Bill No. 2486}:
Sunset Gardens Subdivi.sian as xscoxded in Plat Book 41,
page 6 of the Public Records of I~inellas County, Florida,
less and except abutting right of way for Belcher Road and
less and except Lot 8 and abutting street of said Subdivision,
together with all other streets, rights of way, all public
easements contained therein or contiguous or abutting thereto;
and
WHEREAS, the City Coramissian desires to hold a Special Referendum
Election on the question of the approval of the annexation of said Sunset
Caxdens Subdivision;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEAIi.WATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. A Special Referendum Election shall be held in the area of Sunset
Gardens Subdivision between the hours of ?:OOA. M. and 7:00 P. M. on Tuesday,
November 25, 1969, for the puxpose of votiung on the following:

annexation of the following described property:
Sunset Gardens Subdivision ae rocorded in Plat Baok'11,
pages 6 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
., loss and except abutting right of way for Belchor Road and
lees and except Lot 8 and abutting street of said Subdivision,
together with all other streets, rights of way, all public
easements contained therein or contiguous or abutting thereto
2. Only registered electors who are freeholders within the area to be
annexed shall be eligible to vote at said election.
3. Notice of said election shall be given by publication in a newspaper
published and of general circulation in the City of Clearwater, once a week
for the four (4} weeks immediately preceding said election.
~4. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare the ballot to be
used in said election and to do all things necessary and proper as required by
law in the management and conduct of said election.
