THAT THE. FIRE .DEPARTMENT. WI LL ONLY ANSWER FIRE CALLS OUTSIDE THE
CDRPORATE.LIMlTS OF, THE CITY.OF GLEAR4lATER.WHEN A PRIOR,AGREEMENT

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater operates a modern Fire department
equipped with modern equipment and serviced by well trained personnel which
is paid for by the taxpayers of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, the City of Glearwater has far many years served areas adJacent
to the City of Clearwater without charge for answering fire calls outside
Its City limits; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Gommission of the City of
Glearwater that the Clearwater Fire Department will no longer answer fire

far such service signed and executed by its properly authorized chief executive
officers and the City of Clearwator,
3, That fire protection service will be furnished to largo businesses
and manufacturing plants and apartment complexes (10 or more units) located
outside the corpora to limits of the City of Clearwater only after a properly
executed agreement for the payment of an annual sum mutually to be agreed upon
in writing between the business or manufacturing plant and the City of Clearwater,
alt of said payments to be made annually, in advance, to be payable on or after
November 1 and delinquent after December 31 of each calendar year.

5. That the Fire Department of the City of Clearwater shall not be
required to answer fire calls outside the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater if, within the discretion of the Chief of the Fire pepartment of
the City of Clearwater or persons acting under his direction, it is determined
that the answering of such Fire call outside the corporate limits of the City
of Clearwater will interfere with or ,jeopardize the fire protection and safety
of properties and persons within the corporate limits of the City.
6. Tho City of Clearwater Fire gepartment will answer calls to extinguish
grass fires In an area which subscribes to this service, provided it is
determined that the fire Is endangering residences or buildings upon which Fire
protection service has bean extended by contractual agreements as outlined
aforesaid,
