RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Haines Road in the City of Cleaxwater has been
designated as a secondary road {State Raad 593); and
WHEREAS, Haines Road, especially the section between San Mateo
and Kove Drive, has become so heavily traveled that it should be widened
to relieve the hazardous traffic conditions which are created by the
gatrons of the twn reatauxants ixi that area; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater feels
that it would be to the best interest of the citizens of Clearwater and the
traveling public to widen said Haines Road {State Raad 593). at least
between San Mateo and Kove Drive;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARI~VATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the State Road Department of the State of Florida is hereby
officially requested to provide: the funds and do the necessary wont to cause
Haines Road {State Road 593) to be widened between San Mateo and Kove Drive,
in the City of Clearwater.
2. That this work be done at the earliest possible tinne because of the
ever increasing traffic in the Gity of Cleaxwater.
3. That certified copies of this Resolution be sent forthwith to the
S#ate Road Department, Bartow, Florida; the State Road Board, Tallahassee,
Florida; Honorable Donald R. Crane, Sr, , State Road Board Member, St,
Petersburg, Florida; and Honorable Sohn W. Bonsey, Chairman, Pinellas
County Board of County Commissioners, Clearwater,
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th da}!
