RESOLUTION
No. 68 - 27
WHEREAS, the City of Cleaxwatcr, Florida, has received a
recornmendatian fr~rn certain of its Department Heads that the City
'request the State Aoad Department to make a feasibility survey reslativ~-
to the installatlan of a traffic signal at South Ft. Harrison Avenue fU.5.
19A} and Pinellas Street; and
WHEREAS, said traffic signal is deemed to be necessary because
of the heavy influx of traffic in this area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwatex is willing to purchase, install
and maintain this signal if the same is found to be warranted after a study
by the Traffic and Planning Department of the State Road Department; and
WHEREAS, this action requires the approval of the State Road Board
of Florida.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESDLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. • That the State Road Department and the State Road Saard are
hereby officially requested to conduct a study as to the feasibility of
installing a traffic signal at the interaectian of South Ft. Haxxison Avenue
{U.S. 1911) acid Pinellas Street.
~. That the City of Clearwater wil.I purchase, install and maintain
said signal if the same is found to be warranted after such study.
3, That a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished the State
Road Department, Bartow, Florida; the State Road Board, Tallahassee,
Florida; and Honorable Donald R. Crane, rr. , State Road Board Member,
St. Petexsburg, Florida.
