cost to aid in the construction of such public work; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has previously made application for grant
funds under said Public Law 660 and the U. S. Department of Interior through
the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration and the Florida State
Board of Health has made an offer to the Applicant dated 3anuary 25, 1968;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the Applicant accepts such offer as preferred inasmuch as
the cnnstruction of the additions and modifications to the Clearwater East
Sewage Treatment Plant are necessary and that the construction of the Inter-
ceptor Sewer and Sewage Pumping Station with the Sewage Force Main are
also essential and that the acceptance of this offer will assist in deferruig
the cost of construction of the aforesaid.
2. That Merrett R. Stierheim as City Manager be hereby authorized to
execute an behalf of the Applicant the offer in farm as submitted by the United

Stierheim as City Managor is hereby nuthorirod to furnish such additional
information and take such othnr action as may bo necessary to enables the
Applicant to fully meat the requirements of said offer and, further, that the
raid Merrott R. Stierheim as City Manager is designated as tho authorized
representative of the Applicant.
3. That certified copies of this Resolution be included as part of
the Applicant's acceptance of said offer and this Resolution shall bo
submitted as a part thereof.
4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
