WHEREAS Drew Strout fn tha City of Claarwater has been
dasignated as a secondary road (State Rorsd 590y; and
WHEREAS, Draw Street between Sctty Lana and Glenwood Avenue
in the Ciiy of Clearwater ie narrawar than tha rest of Drew Street, which
said narrow portion creates a hazardous bottleneck to the traveling public;
and
WHEREAS, Drnw 5trcat is the secondmoet traveled East-West
artery in the City of Clearwater, second only to State Road 6Q;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMLSSION OF THE CXTY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
i. That the State Road Department of tha State of Florida is hereby
officially requested to provide the funds and do the necessary work to cause
Drew Strcct (State Road 59Q) tv be widened between Betty Lane and Glenwood
Avenun, in the City o[ Clearwater.
2. That ibis work be doge at the earliest possible time because of the
ever increasing traffic in the City of Cleaxwatex.
3. That certified copies of this Resolution be sent forthwith to the
Stata Road Deportment, Bartow, Florida; the State Road Board, Tallahassee,
Florida; Honorable Donald R. Crane, Jr. , State Road Board Member, St.
Petersburg, Florida; and Honorable John W. Bonsey, Chairman, Pinellas
County Board of County Commissioners, Clearwater,
