WHEREAS, ft has come to the attention of the City at Clearwater
that the Pinellas County Saard of Adjustment has been requested to permit a
Restorium to be constructed an property adjacent to Hercules Avenue and
the Clearwater Airpark; and
WHEREAS, this facility would be directly across Hercules Avenue
from the Clearwater Airpark and in line with a principal runway of the
Airpark; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater does not feel that a Restorium
would be compatible to this area because of the abundance of noise and
traffic generated by this public facility; and
WHEREAS, the Soard of County Commissioners is contemplating
the location of a County ~~ehicle Inspection Station adjacent to this property; and
WHEREAS, these public facilities might adversely affect the operation
of such a Restorium and disturb the peace and tranquillity of the residents therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMLSSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLbWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially indicates its
opposition ko the construction of a Restorium an Hercules Avenue near the
Clearwater Airpark, and urges the Pinellas County Board of Adjustment
and the PinellaQ County Board of County Commissioners to deny this request.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution be sent forthwith to the
Pinellas County Board of Adjustment and the Pinellas County Hoard of County
