RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwatex, Pinallas
County, Florida, herein called tho "Applicant, "after thorough consideration
of the various aspects of the problem and study of available data, has hereby
determined that the construction of certain public works, generally described
as a Sanitary Sewerage System for a portion of the Clearwatex East axes is
desirable and in the public interest and to that end it is necessary that action
pxeliminaxy to the constxuction of said works be taken immediately; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Law 660, the United States of
America has authorized the Department of Interior through the Federal Water
Pollution Contxol Administration to make Federal gxante for sewage treatment
works to public bodies to aid in financing the cost of construction and related
cost to aid in the construction of such public work; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant hoe examined and duly considered such

Act and the Applicant considers it to be i.n the public intexest and to its
benefit to file an application under said Act and to authorize other action in
connection therewith;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B'Y THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, A5
FOLLOWS:
1. That the construction of said sewage treatment works is essential
to and in the best interests of the Applicant and to that end that such public
works may be provided as promptly as pxacticable, it is desixable that
action preparatory to such construction be undertaken immediately.
2. That James R. Stewaxt as City Manager be hereby authoxized to
file on behalf of the Applicant, an application (in form required by the United
States and in conformity with said Act} for a construction grant to hA made by
the United States to the Applicant to aid in defraying the coat of construction
for the said sewage treatment works, which sewage treatment works shall
consist generally of interceptor sewers and sewage treatment plant.
