RESOLUTION
No. 67 - 68
WI3EREA5, the Gity Commission of the City of Clearwater is
most interested in the State of Florida~s acquisition and development of
Caladesi Island as a State Park; and
WIiEREAB, the Florida State Legislature has enacted certain
measures for the purchase of this Park and its development; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to urge the Florida Board
of Parks and Historic Memorials to make the necessary appr.opriationa
for the development of this Park ae soon as passible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIDE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GLEARWATEI.t, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the Gfty of Clearwater hereby
officially urges the Florida Board of Parks and Historic Memorials to
immediately take all the necessary steps, including all necessary
appropriations, for the development of Caladesi Island as a State Park,
Z. That a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the
Florida Board of Parks and Historic Memorials and to each member of
the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation.
