WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Clearwater, in his 1966-b7
budget proposals to the City Commission, included therein a recommendation
that certain City employees, specifically including ali of the classified
employees of said City, be granted an upward salary adjustment of two {2)
pay ranges which is substantially the equivalent of a five {5) per cent
salary increase. This recommendation was based on an analysis of the
coat-of-living increase since the last salary adjustment and on the results
of a local wage and salary survey; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, after due deliberation, appropriate
advertising and public hearing, subsequently approved the proposed budget
including the provision for the aforementioned salary increase; and
WHEREAS, the implementation of said salary increase necessitated
the preparation of an amended pay plan to reflect the aforementioned two {2)
pay range upward salary adjustment far all classifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater and
the City Manager have reviewed the attached pay plan to be known as
"~'he Pay Plan of the City of Glearwater, April I, 1965 as amended October
1, 1466, "together with the rules for administering same, which documents
are attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, and after considered
study, finds said pay plan and said rules to be equitable and justified; and
Wl'IER.EAS, after considered study and review, the (;ity Commission
intends to approve and adopt the aforementioned Pay Plan of the City of

Clearwater, April 1, 1465 as amended Oetnber 1, 19b6, together with the
rules for administering same, all n£ which are attached hereto and by
reference made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That salary ranges in bi-weekly amounts; schedule of salary
ranges by classification titles; part-time salaries by }ob titles; rules fox
administering the City of Clearwater Pay PIan, all of which form the Pay
Plan and are hereto attached and hereby approved and adopted.
Z. That provisions of the City's current pay plan, together with the
rules fnr administering the same are hereby repealed and shall hereafter be
null and void and hereafter retroactive to October 1, 1966, the pay plan for
the City of Clearwater shall be that which is hereby adopted and approved and
attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof and known as "The Pay
Plan of the City of Clearwater, April 1, 1965 as amended October 1, 1466. "
