RESOLUTION
No. 66 - 51
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION
WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FOA
A GRANT UNDER P. L, 89-117.
WHEREAS, pursuant to P. L, 89-117 the United States of America has
authorized the making of grants to public bodies to aid in financing the
construction of basic water attd sewer projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That 3ames R, Stewart be and he is hexeby authorized to execute
and file an application on behalf of the City of Clearwater, Florida, with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development, United States ~iovernment,
for a grant to aid in financing the construction of water supply improvements,
feeder and distribution system mains with other improvements and an assurance
of compliance with the Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations
under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1464.
2. That 3ames R. Stewart, City Manager, be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish such information ae the Department of
Housing and Urban Development may reasonably request in connection with
the application which is herein authorized and directed to furnish such
information as the Department of Housing and Urban Development may
reasonably request in connection with the application which is herein authorized
to be filed.
3. That the City Attorney, Herbext M. Brown, is hereby authorized
by the City of Clearwater to furnish Iegal information to the Department of
Housing and Urban Develapment to support the application of the City of
Clearwater, Florida.
