WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, a Florida municipal corporation,
has acquired certain hereinafter doscribed real properties far road right
of way and other public use purposes; and
WHEREAS, said City of Clearwater desires that the Board of County
Commissioners of Pinellas County discharge any and all liens for taxes, '
delinquent or current, held or owned by the County or the State of Florida '
upon said lands heretofore acquired by said City of Clearwater and to
further provide that said lands shall be exempt frora County taxation so
Iong as the same are awned and used for such public purpose; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes, 1965, 192.59, Taxation; cancollation
of delinquent taxes upon lands used for road purposes, etc. , grants to tho
Board of County Commissioners of Plnellas County, Fiorida, full power and
authority to accomplish this request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, A$
FOLLOWS;
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby foxmally xequusts the Board
of County Commissionexs of Pinellas County, Fiorida, to take all formal
action necessary to cancel and discharge any and all liens for taxes,
delinquent or currant, held or owned by Pinellas County or the State of
Florida, upon the hereinaftex described lands acquired by the City of
Clearwater for right of way or other public use purposes and ko provide that
said lands shall be exempt from Cn~mty taxation so long as the same are
used far such public purpose, to wit:
a. Property acquired from Whatley Construction C,o. of
Florida, Inc, by deed recorded in O. R. 2358, page 60,
of the Pubic Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
described as:
South 10 feet of Lot 1, Block A of Norwood Subdivision,
according to the map or plat thereof as recorded in
Plat Book 5, page 7g of the Public Records of Pinellas
county, Florida.
b. Property acquired from Emma D. Bailey by deed
recorded in O.R. 2338, page 581 of the Public Records
of Pinellas County, Florida, described as:
North l0 feet of Lot 5, Block B, Noxwaod Subdivision,
according to map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 5, page 79 of the Public Records of Pinellas
County, Florida.
c. Pxopexty acquired from Harald F. Talbert and Bernice
Talbert, his wife, by deed recorded in O. ft. 2338, page
582 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
described as:
South 10 feet of Lat 6, Block A of Norwood Subdivision,
according to the map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 5, page 79, of the Public Records of Pinellas County,
Florida.
