RE50LUTION
No. 66 - i 3
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater feels that it is necessary in
order to insure the expeditious movement of traffic on North Ft. Harrison
Avenue {Alternate U. S, 19) through the City of Clearwater that the traffic
light at North Ft. Harrison Avenue (Alternate U. S. 19} and Cedar Street
be removed and that a traffic light be installed at tho intersection of North
Ft. Harrison Avenue (Alternate U. S. 19} and Seminole Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is willing to remove the one light
and to purchase, install and maintain the other signal if the same is approved
by the State Road Department; and
WHEREAS, this action requires the approval of the State Road Board
of Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMLSSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SES5ION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the State Road Department and the State Road Board are
hereby officially requested to permit the City of Clearwater to remove the traffic
light at the intersection of North Ft. Harrison Avenue (Alternate U. S. I9) '
and Cedar Street, and to install a traffic light at the intersection of North
Ft. Harrison Avenue (Alternate U. S. 19) and Seminole Street within the
City limits of the City of Clearwater.
2. That the City of Clearwater will remove the one signal and will
purchase, install and maintain the other signal if the same is approved.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished the State
Road Department, Bartow, Florida, the State Road Board, Tallahassee,
Florida, and Honorable Vincent Nuccio, State Board Member, Tampa, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 1966.
