RESOLUTION
No. 66 - 11

' WHEREAS, Route lq-A, from Scrninolo Bridge to the Pasco County
line, and State Road 69q (Gulf Boulevardy from St. Petersburg Beabh to
Indian Rocks Beach, including John's Pass Bridge, are presently inadequate
and dangerously congested; and
WHEREAS, improvement of said roads has been recommended for
tap priority after traneportatian studied by the Pinellas County Planning
Board and Pinellas County Board of Commissioners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMX.SSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN .SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the need for four-laving Route 19-A from Seminole Bridge
to the Pasco County line, with the exception of Edgewater Drive, and for
four-laving State Road 699 from St. Petersburg $~.ch to ' edian Rocks Beach,
including rahn~s Pass Bridge, and for straightening Johnts Pass Bridge,
is hereby declared to be a public necessity in the interests of safety,
convenience and economy.
2. That the State Road Soard be requested to place these projects
on the fiscal budget for the 1966-6? budget period.
3. That certified copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the
Chairman of the Pinellas County Commission, to the Chairman of the Pinellas
Planning Council, to the State Road Board, Tallahassee, Florida, and
to the Honorable Vincent Nuecia, Member, State Road Board, Tampa,
Florida.
