WHEREAS, the State of Florida has proposed and placed upon the
ballot for a referendum vote by the voters a[ tho State of Florida, on
November 2, 19~5~ a proposal providing for the issuance of Three Hundred
Million Dollars in bonds Cor uac in developing and improving the road and
highway system of the State of Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater is
desirous of ascertaining and determining, if said bond issue is approved
at said referendum election, what the plans of the State Road Department
of Florida are fox the expenditure and use of the State primary road funds
then available for State road projects in Pinellas County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is further desirous of ascertaining
and determining the proposed time schedule contemplated for such projects
and improvements in Pinellas County, Florida, to be financed and paid
for by the State of Florida primary road funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLO W5;
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby
respectfully requests that it be informed, if said bond issue is approved
at said referendum election, as to what the plans of the State Road Department
of Florida are for the expenditure and use of the State primary road funds
then available far State road projects in Pinellas County, Florida, and the
proposed time schedule contemplated for such projects and improvements
in said Cnunty.
2, That certified copies of this Resolution, the same being official
requests for said information, be forwarded forthwith to Governor Haydon
Burns, Tallahassee, Florida; Florida State Road Board, Tallahassee,
Florida; Honorable Vincent Nuccio, Stato Raad Boaxd Member, Tampa,
Florida; and Honorable ,Tohn W. Bansey, Chairman of Pinellas County
Commission, Clearwater, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 19b5.
