WHEREAS, the General Telephone Co, is proposing a plan to provide
toll-free service between the Clearwater and St. Petersburg and Tarpon
Springs exchanges; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission feels that a public hearing concerning
such a proposed plan, with the possible result being an increase in the cost
of telephone service, should be held by the Florida Public Utilities Commission;
and
WHEREA5, the City Commission is desirous of being notified of such
a public hearing and of having the privilege of attending the same;

~:~~.."~~' COMMLSSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORLDA,
;;`s~,~.;~. IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
,;~,•„_~~ FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater officially
requests the Florida Public Utilities Commission to hold a public hearing
concerning the General Telephone Co. ~s proposed plan to provide toll-free
service between the Clearwater and St. Petersburg and Tarpon Springs
exchanges and that the City of Clearwator be notified of the date of such
public hearing in sufficient time to attend the same and enter such objections
as it may desire.
2. That a certified copy of this Resolution he furnished the Florida
Public Utilities Commission, Tallahassee, Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this loth day of December, 1963.
