~ESOLUTION NO. 90-42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ABOLISHING THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
HEALTH FACILITIES AUTHORITY: COMMENDING THE MEMBERS OF
THE CITY OF CLEARWATER HEALTH FACILITIES AUTHORITY, PAST
AND PRESENT,' FOR THEIR SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY:
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater Health Facilities Authority was created
in 1979 pursuant to Part III of Chapter 154, Florida Statutes: and
WHEREAS, the creation of a health facilities authority pursuant to Florida
law is predicated, in part, upon a finding of need for a health facilities
authority to function in a particular county or municipality: and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that the City of Clearwater Health
Facilities Authority was needed at the time of its creation, but that there is
not a present need for a health facilities authority to function in the City:
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater Health Facilities Authority, created
by Resolution 79-23, as amended, is hereby abolished.
Section 2. The City Commission does hereby commend the members of the
City of Clearwater Health Facilities Authority, past and present, for their
dedication and service and for their evaluable contribution of time and talent
to the community.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
