A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA.
ASSESSIKG CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY CONSISTING OF LOT 8.
BLOCK C, PALM PARK SUBDIVISION. FOR THE COSTS OF
DEMOLITION IN THE AMOUNT OF $5.440.35 INCURRED IN
REMOVING DANGEROUS' STRUCTURES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 138 of the Code of Ord i nances, City of
Clearwater, and the Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that
certain real property hereinafter described and the buildings situated thereon
were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and
detrimental to the health, safety, morals and the general welfare of the
community, and did not properly comply with the requirements of said Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 138.02, City Code, the Building Official found
that an emergency existed which, in his opinion, involved imminent danger to
human life and health, and ordered the demolition of the building; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution 90-12 on April 5, 1990,
following a public hearing thereon. finding the buildings to be unsafe and
ordering corrective action to be taken within 30 days after adoption of the
resolution, and ordered the City Manager to demolish the building if the
corrective action was not taken; and
WHEREAS, the necessary corrective action was not taken within the time
provided; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has caused the demol ition of the buildings,
and the cost of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City
of Clearwater against the property:
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CCMUSSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 138.02," Code of Ordinances, City of
Clearwater, the Building Official having ordered the demolition of the building
situated on the following described property:
Lot 8, Block C, PALM PARK SUBDIVISION, according to the
Plat thereof as recorded in plat Book 4, Page 86 of the
Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida, also known
as 915 Engman Street and 1206 A and B Pennsylvania
Avenue, Clearwater, Florida. The record title holder
to said property appears to be Ms. Christine Keno, 18
Emerson Street, East Orange, New Jersey 07018-1912,
according to the Public Records, OR Book 6592, Page 1862
and the current tax roll of Pinellas County, Florida;
