A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMrHSSrON OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS RY PINELLAS
COUNTY TO PROTECT THE COUNTY'S POTABLE WATER WELLHEAD
AREAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater rel ics upon Pinellas County' for the
majority of its supply of potable water; and
WHEREAS, Pinel1as County obtains a large portion of its supply of potable
water from wellhead areas located in the northern section of the county; and
WHEREAS, the protection of this water supply is vital to the health and
welfare of the citizens of Pinellas County in general, and of the citizens of
Clearwater in particular; now, therefore,
BE IT ,RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City COlllTlission of the City of Clearwater strongly
supports Pinellas County in its effort to protect the vital wellhead areas of
, the county, and urges all other municipalities of the county to support this
action.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately, upon adoption.
