" e ~ e RESOLUTION NO. 88-52 A RESOLUTION OF THE CUY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE PINELLAS COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CANCEL AND DISCHARGE CRR'rAIN TAX LIENS UPON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY AND THE COUNTY AS TENANTS IN COMMON FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES, AND TO GRANT TAX EXEMPTIONS. WHEREAS, the City or Clearwater and Plnellas Caunty aoqulred certain hereinafter described real property tor proper publlc purposes on March 10, 1988; and .. WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater desires that the Board or County Commissioners or Plnellas County discharge any and alllfens tor taxes trom the date or acquisition held or owned by the County or the State of Florida upon said lands, and to further provide that said lands shall be exempt from County taxation so long as the same are owned and used es environmentally sensitive lands or other proper public purposes, as authorized by Section 196.28, Florida Statutes; NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City of Clearwliter hereby requests the Board of County Commissioners or Pinellas County, Florida, to take all formal action necessary to cancel and discharge any and all liens for taxes, held or owned by Pine1las County or the State of Florida, upon the lands acquired by the City of Clearwater and Pinelles County for public purposes, which lands are more particularly described in the deeds attached hereto as Exhibits 1 and 2 and made a part hereof, trom the date or acquisition by the City and the County, and to provide that said lands shall be exempt from taxation so long as the same are used for such public purposes. Section 2. A certified copy ot this Resolution shall be delivered forthwith to the County Administrator for Pinellas County, Florida. Section 3.
