CLEARWATERt FLORIDAt REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 88-30
IN ITS ENTIRETV; SETTING FEES FOR OFF-PREMISES USE
OF ttATERIALS FRat' THE PUBLIC LIBRARV SVSTEn OF THE
CITV OF CLEARIIATERt FLORIDA, BV NONRESlDENTS OF THE
CITY.
WHEREASt the City of Clear\"ater provides library service for
residents and taxpayers in the corporate limits of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREASt it is desired that those who use library materials off
the premises who are nonresidents of the City of Clearwater shall pay a
comparable sum for such use of library materials; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission previously passed Resolution No. 88-
38 setting forth such fees; and
WHEREAS, it has' been determi ned that use of the new 1 i brary
computer system enables the library to offer a variety of library card
expiration dates for nonresidents;
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATERt FLORIDA:
Section 1.
That Resolution No. 88-38 passed by the City
Commi ssion on August 18 t 1988t be and the same is hereby repeal ed in its
entirety.
Section 2.
That effective October 1, 1988t the fee for
nonresidents who wish to check out materials from the Clearwater Library shall
be as follows:
(1) Annual individual nonresident .............. $ 31.00
(2) Annual family nonresident .................. $ 77 .50
(3) Seasonal (6 months) individual nonresident . $ 19.00
(4) Seasona 1 (6 months) family nonresident $ 47.50
(5) Special 1988-89 3~month individual
nonresident (limit one time only) .......... $ 8.00
A family nonresident car may be used by any member of the
immediate family of the person to whom the card is issued.
Section 3.
The criteria which' establish the class of City
residents for the purpose of this Resolution are:
(a) Permanent residence within the corporate boundaries
of the City of Clearwater, or

(b) Ownership of real property within the corporate
boundaries of the City of Clearwater, as evidenced
by the official tax rolls maintained by Pinellas
CountYi or
(c) . Tourists and guests residing at properties within
the corporate boundaries of the City of Clearwateri or
(d) Persons \~ho are employees of the City of Clear\<later
their spouse and children who live at home.
Section 4. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be
furnished to the Library Board and to the Librarian of the City of Clearwater.
Section 5.
That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
