A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO
THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS FOR AN AWARD OF $69,782.00 FROM THE LOCAL
GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM.
WijEREAS, the 1985 State Legislature required that municipal
governments in Florida update and revise local comprehensive
plans as provided for in The Local Government Comprehensive
Planning and Land Development Regulation Act; and
WHEREAS, the 1986 State Legislature appropriated funds to
assist local governments in revising their comprehensive plans
utilizing the funds for research, data collection and other
activities needed to update and revise the local comprehensive
plan to comply with Sections 163.3177, 163.3178, and 163.3191,
Florida Statutes, and Chapter 9J-5, Florida Administrative Code;
and

WHEREAS, a total amount of $69,782.00 has been made available
to the City of Clearwater by the State Legislature for expenditure
by September 30, 1987; and
WHEREAS, an application for such funds must be submitted
to the state of Florida Department of Community Affairs by
December 4" 1986;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
