A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLE^RWATER, FLORIDl\,
AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE Ol~ CERTl\IN REAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY, LOCATED SOUTH OF'AND ADJOINING
TilE EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAY OF STATE R01\D 60, TO
THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation
(herein the "DOT"), proposes to construct and improve State Road
60, section 15040-2522, in the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, it is necessa~y that certain real property, described
more particularly herein,' now owned by the City, be acquired by
the DOT; and
WHEREAS, the property is no longer needed for public use by
the City; .and
WHEREAS, Section 2.01(b)(4) of the City Charter authorizes the
conveyance of surplus City property to another governmental entity
without referendum approval, without competitive bidding, and for
less, than the'apprais~d value; and
WHEREAS, the DOT has applied to the City for a conveyance by
the City to the DOT, of 'all rights, title and interest that the
City has in the p~operty, and the application has been duly
considered by the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The application of the State of Florida, Department
of Transportation, is for the conveyance of City-owned real property
which is hereby declared surplus and no longer needed for public
use by the City, and the application is found and declared to be
,for a valid public purpose. Therefore, the appropriate City officials
are~uth6rized to execute the deed to the State 6f Florida, Depart-
.' ,men't of Transportation, a copy of which is attached hereto as

WITNESSETH: that the said party of the first part, for and in
consideration of the sum of $ to it in hand paid by the

granted, bargained and sold to the party of the second party, his heirs and
assigns forever, the following described land lying and being in Pinel1as
