A RBSOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
REVISING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR SIGN PERMIT APPLICATIONS,
AS ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION 86-14, TO PROVIDE THAT THE
FEE FOR A SIGN PERMIT FOR A SIGN WHICH HAS BEEN
LOCATED, PLACED, ERECTED, CONSTRUCTED, ALTERED OR
EXTENDED WITHOUT A SIGN PERMIT SHALL BE TRIPLE THE
AMOUNT OF THE PERMIT FEE FOR SUCH WORK; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
, WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it necessary and desirable to increase the
fees to be paid for sign permits for a sign whel'e work has been performed without a
sign permit, as set forth in this resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Each applicant for a sign permit under the sign regulations of the
City shall, pay an application fee acoording to the following schedule:
(a) $0.40 pel' square foot of sign faceage, but not less than $20.00 per sign;

(b) An additional $20.00 per sign if the sign is electrlCied; and
: '(c) If the sign has been located, placed, erected, constructed, altered or

extended with~ut a sign permit having been obtained for such work, except as provided
, . ,
. ill Section 134.013'(a)~ Code of Ordinances, and if such work otherwise complies with
the sign regulatlo~s of the City, the applicant shall pay treble twiee the amount of the.
permit fee for such work, in addition to such other penalties as may be imposed.
SeeUon' 2. '. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
