A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
SUPPORTING THE PINELLAS COUN1'Y TRANSPORTATION
IMPACT FEE ORDINANCE IN THE FORM APPROVED BY THE
PINELLAS COUNTY METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the qity of Clearwater has identified in the
Clearwater Comprehensive Plan a need for expansions and improvements of the road
system and related faclllties to accommodate new development; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that land development should
bear a proportionate cost of the provision of thc new or expanded capite! facillties
required by such development; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization on April 25,
1986, approved a pr Jposed transportation impact fee ordinance to provide f~r the
ImposlUon of an impact fee on land development in Plnellas County for providing new
roads and related facllitle~ necessitated by such new development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater supports the adoption by the Board of County
Commissioners of PInellas County of the Transportation Impact Fee Ordinance In the
form approved by the Metropolitan Planning OrganIzation on April 25, 1986.
Section 2. Upon the adoption of this resolution, the City Clerk shall furnish a
certified copy of this resolution to the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas
County.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect Immediately upon adoption.
