NO. 86 - 14
A Re30LUTION OF THE Crry OF CLEARWATER. FLOlUDA,
ESTABLISHING A FEn SCHEDULB FOR SIGN PERMiT
APPLICATioNS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the fee schedule for sign 'Permit applications currently used by the
,City has been in efCect for more than ten years, and generates insufficient revenue to
fund the administration and enforcement of the sign regulations of the City without a
substantial subsidy from the general revenue of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it necessary and desirable to increase the
fees to be paid for sign permit applications, as set forth in this resolution;
, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE crry OF CLEAR WATER. FLORIDA:
Sectlon 1. Each applicant for a sign permit under the sign regulations of the
City shall pay an application fee according to the following schedule:
(a) $0.40 per square Coot of sign faceage, but not less than $20.00 per sign;
(b) An additional $20.00 per Sign if the sign is electrified; and
(c) It the sign has been located, placed, erected, constructed, altered or
extended without a sign permit having been obtained for such work, except as provided
In Section 134.013A, Code of Ordinances, and if such work otherwise complies with the
sign regulations of the City, the applicant shall pay twice the amount of the permit
fee for such work, in addition to such other penalties es may be Imposed.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
