1. Tha~ the Fire Chief of the City of Clearwater is authorized
d instructed to petition the pinellas County Construction Licensing
ard (PCCLB) to hold public hearings to determine the necessity and
asibility of amending the Life Safety Code to require sprinkler
all new residential, commercial and other appropriate
built in Pinellas County, \<lith due consideration to the
onomic impact to the property owner, the specific alt~rnate
nstruction requirements, and documented savings to the general
blic by the reduction in the need to expand county and 'municipal
f refighting forces.
2. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
a option.
