A RESOLUT10N OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING THE REVISED
PINELLA~ COUNTY MASTER DRAINAGE PLAN.
",
WHEREAS, the Pinel Ins County Master Drainage Plan was adopted
by the Pinellas Planning Council on April ~9, 1978; and
WHEREAS, it was understood, as part of that action, that the
pinellas County Master Drainage Plan would be updated with more
detailed drainage basin studies through the plan amendment process
of the pinellas Planning Council; and
WHEREAS, those detailed drainage basin studies have been completed
and the necessary plan amendments adopted by the Pinellas Planning
Council on May 15, 1985; and
WHEREAS, pinellas County now has, on a countywide basis, an
up-to-date Master Drainage Plan which has been fully coordinated
with the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners and all
municipalities within Pinellas County; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Ma8ter Drainage Plan estimates the
impacts of present and future development on Pinellas County's
existing drainage system and recommends planned improvements that
will solve both existing and future flooding on a countywide and
multi-jurisdictional basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSI~N OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby recognizes the updated
',Pinel1as County Countywide Master Drainage Plan.
2.' That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
ita adoption.'
