A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWNI'ER, FI10RIDA, SETTING FEES FOR OFF-
PREMISES USE OF MATERIALS FROM THE PUBLIC LIBRARY
SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATEH, FLORIDA~ BY
NON-TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY.
WHEEEAS, the City of Clearwater provides librar~: service for
residents and taxpayers in the corporate limits of the City of
Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that those who use library materials
off the premises who are non-taxpayers of the City of Clearwater
shall pay a comparable sum for such use of library materials; and
';
WHEREAS, the City Commission previously passed Resolution No.
83-114 setting forth such fee; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that use of the new library
computer system enables the library to offer a variety of library
card expiration dates for non-residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That Resolution No. 83-114 passed by the City Commission
on November 3, 1983, be and the same is hereby repealed in its
entirety. "
2. That effective July 18, 1985, the fee for non-taxpayers
whowish to check out materials from the Clearwater Library shall be
as follows:
(1) Annual family non-resident $50.00
( 2) Annual individual non-resident 25.00
( 3) Season (6 months) family non-resident 30.00
( 4 ) Season (6 months) individual non-
resident' 15.00
A family non-resident card may be used by any member
of the, immediate family of the person to whom the card
is issued.

3. The criteria which establish the class of City taxpayers
for the purpose of ,this resolution are:

(a) Permanent residence within the incorporated
boundaries of the City of Clearwater, or
(b) Ownership of real property within the incorporated
boundaries of the City of Clearwater, as evidenced
by the official tax rolls maintained by Pinel1as CountY1
or
(c) Tourists and guests residing at properties within the
incorporated boundaries of the City of Clearwater, or
(d) Persons who are employees of the City of Clearwater,
their spouse and children who live at home.
4.
That a certified copy of this resolution shall be transmitted
to the Library Board and to the Librarian of the City of Clearwater.
5. That this resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th
day of July, A.D. 1985.
