TO DEFEND 'rHE CITY OF CLEARWATER IN THE
CASE OF UNITED COMPANIES FINANCIAL CORPORATION
V. RENNETH L. MAfHIS, ET UX, ET AL, CIRCUIT
CIVIL NO. 85-3159-19.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has been mode a party defendant
in a forecloiure action which is the subject matter of the case of
United Companies Financial Corporation v. Kenneth L. Mathis, et ux,
et aI, circuit Civil No. 85-3158-19;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any and
all steps necessary to defend the City of Clearwater in the case
of United Companies Financial Corporation v. Kenneth L. Mathis,
et ux, et al, Circuit Civil No. 85-3159-19.
2. This Resolution shall become effective i~nediately upon
it's passage.
