A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN
INCREASE IN THE FRANCHISE FEE PAID TO CITY
OF LARGO FROM 4% TO 6%.

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, presently has a
iranchise with the City of Largo by virtue of Largo's Ordinance
No. 71-545 and Clearwater's Resolution No. 71-24, wherein the
City of Clearwater uses Largo's rights-of-way for City of Clear-
w~ter gas utility lines; and
WHEREAS, the original franchise provided for a franchise fee
.)f 4% which fee is a charge in addition to the normal utility charge
paid by gas customers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Largo has advised the City of Clearwater

that it wishes to increase the franchise fee from 4% to 6%; and

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has no objection to such
increase, providing that the increase is added on to the fee
charged Largo residents;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1 .
That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

hereby approves the increase in the franchise fee the City of Largo
charges for use of its rights-of-way by the City of Clearwater for
gas utility lines from 4% to 6%.
2. That it is understood that such increased franchise fee
is a charge in addition to the utility rate paid by users of the

gas system in the franchise area.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
