A RESOLUTION AU'rHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO DEFEND THE CITY OF CLEARWATER AND THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE EMPLOYEE'S PENSION
FUND IN THE CASE OF WILLIAM GOATCHER V. CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ET AL, CIRCUIT CIVIL
NO. 84-9434-16.

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater and the Board of Trustees of
the Employee's Pension Fund have been made defendants in an
action for declaratory judgment and injunction, which is the
subject matter of the case of William Goatcher v. City of
Clearwater, Florida, et aI, Circuit Civil No. 84-9434-16;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:

1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any
and all steps necessary to defend the City of Clearwater and the
Board of Trustees of the Employee's Pension Fund in the case of

corporation, and Board of Trustees of the Employee's Pension Fund
of the City of Clearwater, Florida, circuit Civil No. 84-9434-16.
2. That this Resohltion shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
