A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLEARWATFJt BEACII
ASSOCIATION TO RENOVATE THE LANDSCAPING ON TilE
MEDIANS ON TilE CLEARWATER. MEliORlAL CAUSEWAY.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has the reaponsibility of
installing and maintaining landecape material on the road medians on the
Memorial CaulJe\hlY; and
WHntEAS, existing landscape material haa been in place for
many years; and
WHEREAS, a renovation and replacement of the landscape
~terials would result in a more attractive Memorial Causeway; and
WHEREAS, "'!he Clearwater Beach Association" has coordinated
efforts and has submitted to the City a "Landscape Proposal for
Clearwater Memorial Causeway;" and
WHEREAS, the Clearwater Reach Association desires approval
of the proposal from the City of Clearwater 80 that the Association may
actively solicit funding from the private sector to purchase and install
the new landscape material on the Cauoeway medians;
NO"1, THFREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
OJMMISSION OF 1'HE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
m SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City CoMmission docs hereby give general approval
to the HLandscape Proposal for Clear\i8ter Memorial Causeway" as submitted
by the Clearwater Deach Aosociation.
2. That said approval is conditioned on the following items
being satisfied prior to the implementation of the plan;
A. The Clearwater Beach Assoc:!.ation will request and
receive approval from the Florida Department of
Transportation and the City for specifiC landscape
materials desired to be planted on the Memorial
Causeway medians.
B. The Clearwater Beach Association. will purchao8 -
all approved landscape materials aud arrange for and
supervise the installation of eame.
