RESOLUTION
No. 84 - 41
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA~ APPROVING AND CONCURRING
IN THE. FINDINGS OF TilE CITY MANAGER AND TRAFFIC
ENGINE.ER, AND AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION OF A
PORT[ON OF THE CLEARWATER PARKING SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater proposes to dispose of Lot 3 of
the Clearwater Parking system, hereinafter more fully des~ribed, to the'
clearwater Redevelopment Agency, and
WHEREAS, ordinance No. 2199-82 of the city Commission, as
amended, provides for the sale or other disposition of assets of the Clear-
water parking System and the disposition of the proceeds of such sale, and
WHEREAS, the Clearwater Traffic Engineer has found that it is in
the b~st interest of the parking system that said property be disposed of,
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has found, in writing, that said
property is no longer necessary in the operation of the Clearwater Parking
System, aud
WHEREAS, the value of the fi,ted assets of the Clearwater parking
system according to the most r~cant annual audit and operating report is
$2,017,26B, and
WHEREAS, the above findings have been reviewed by the Clearwater
City Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Bl THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Co~miasion of the City of Clearwater, Florida hereby
approves and concurs in the findings of the City Manager and the Traffic
Engineer, copies of which are attached hereto dS Exhibits itA" and "811,
hereby incorporated herein by reference.
2. The disposition of Lot 3 of the Clearwater Parking System,
more particularly described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, and 1.4 in Block 6 of MAGNOLIA PARK,
according to the plat thereof recor.ded in Plat Book 1, page
70, of the Public Recorda of Uillsborough County, of which
PinellllS Count.y was 'formerly a part, together with the former
right-of-way of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad adjoining
said block,on the West..

that. Agency in accordance with the provisions of the development agreement.

Based upon such review and tho contemplated construction of a replacement
parking garago in~diately across the street from said Lot, I find that Lot
3 is, under those conditlons, no longer necessary in the operation of the
Clearwator parking System.
