A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
DEFEND THE CITY OF CLEARWATER IN THE CASE OF
NATIONWIDE MUTUAL FIRE INSURANCE COMPANY, ETC.
V. CITY OF CLEARWATER, IN COUNTY COURT, SMALL
CLAIMS DIVISION, CASE NO. 84-002179-056.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has been made a defendant in
an action for damages, which is the subject matter of the case of
Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Company, etc. v. city of Clearwater,
in County Court, Small Claims Division, Case No. 84-002179-056;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED DY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take any
and all steps necessary to defend the City of Clearwater in the
case of Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Company, etc. v. City
of Clearwater, in County Court, Small Claims Division, Case
No. 84-002179-056.
2. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
