A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF TilE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING TAMPA
BAY REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL'S EFFORTS TO
OBTAIN POSITIVE REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL/LOCAL
GOVERNMENT GROWTH MANAGEMENT LEGISLATION.

WHEREAS, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning council has issued
a position statement stating its efforts to obtain positive regional
planning council/local government growth management legislation:
and

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater supports the current role of
regional planning councils in a planning advisory capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:

1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater supports
the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Councilts efforts to obtain positive
regional planning council/local government growth mRnagement

legislation.
2. Further, that the City Commission will lend support and
assistance to TBRPC in dealing with all legislation of mutual
interest.

3. That copies of this Resolution shall be transmitted to the
members of the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation and to the
