A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ENDORSING PRE-
LIMINARY DRAFT BILL NO. 211-164-1-4 WHIcn
WOULD REVISE CURRENT STATUTORY DATES FOR
BUDGE'l' ADOPTION.
WHEREAS, current statutory dates for budget adoption provide
insufficient time for an orderly review and adoption procedure;
and
WHEREAS, the changes proposed in .preliminary draft bill
No. 211-164-1-4 would lengthen the budget adoption schedule by
approximately one month;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
hereby endorses Preliminary Draft Bill No. 211-164-1-4, which bill
would lengthen the budget adoption schedule by one month, and
requests that it be passed into law.
'2. That a copy of this Resolution be distributed to each
member of the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation and to the
Florida League of Cities.
3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th
day of April, A.D. 1984.
