A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
DEFEND THE CITY OF CLEARWATER AND TAMI JO SWAIN
IN THE CASE OF DONALD E. HERSHEY V. CITY OF
CLEARWATER AND TAMl JO SWAIN, CIRCUIT CIVIL
NO. 83-14679-7.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater and Tami Jo Swain, a police
officer, have been made party defendants in an action for
damages which is the subject of the case of Donald E. Hershey
v. City of Clearwater, a municipal corporation, and Tami Jo
swain, Circuit Civil No. 83-14679-7~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to take
any and a~l steps necessary to defend the City of Clearwater
and Tami Jo Swain in the case of Donald E. Hershey v. City
of Clearwater. a municipal corporation, and Tami Jo Swain, :~
CircQit Civil No. 83-14679-7.
2. That this Resolution' shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
