the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Dunedin and the City of
Clearwater to outline the contributions and responsibilities of both parties regarding
the Dunedin Middle School Recreational Partnership.
Pending approval by the Dunedin City Commission and the Pinellas County School
Board, the City of Dunedin intends to construct the following fields and facilities at
the Dunedin Highland Middle School, located at 896 Union Street in Dunedin:
o Two lighted recreational softball fields
o Two unlighted recreational soccer fields
o Four lighted outdoor basketball courts
o A restroom and storage building
o Amenities to include a drinking fountain and trash receptacles
These facilities will be open for public recreational use during non-school hours,
including evenings and weekends.
It is understood by both parties that the City of Clearwater will remit to the City of
Dunedin the sum often thousand ($10,000) dollars, to be applied for the specific use
of constructing two recreational soccer fields on the Middle School property.
Construction of these fields will consist of site grading, upgrading the turf to Bermuda
grass, and installing soccer goals. For this consideration, residents of the City of
Clearwater will be afforded equal access to the soccer fields and other facilities to be
constructed under the Recreational Partnership, within the parameters of the
Dunedin Middle School's schedule. Payment would be expected only after approval
of the Middle School Recreational Partnership project by the Dunedin City
Commission and the School Board.

The City of Dunedin will be responsible for all scheduling of fields and facilities,
through the Athletics Section of the Recreation Division. Any scheduling conflict that
might arise between the City of Dunedin and the City of Clearwater will be resolved
by mutual agreement of both parties.
The City of Dunedin will provide all field maintenance, cleanup, and monitoring of
programs and activities.
Any issues not addressed in this letter will be resolved by mutual agreement of the
City of Dunedin and the City of Clearwater.
