WHEREAS, five former Clearwater residents a~e still listed
as missing in action in Vietnam, and l
WHEREAS, there have been reports of over 11 70.0. live
sightings of POWs, with one occurring as re ently as
November, 1990, THEREFORE , ,- .

BE IT RESOLVED that the Greater Clearwater Chamber of
Commerce encourages the United states government to do
everything in its power to free these prisoners or determine
absolutely that there are no POWs remaining in captivity.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Greater Clearwater Chamber
of Commerce encourages the Congress of the United states to
deny financial aid and diplomatic recognition to vietnamr
Cambodia, and Laos until this occurs.
