AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this

, A. D. 1975, by and between the CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City'!, and
BERYL F. SYDNOR, hereinafter referred to as I!Sydnor";
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has various social functions and
festivals which require much planning and preparation and which have for
many years in the past been handled by Sydnor; and
WHEREAS, Sydnor is still willing to perform the task of planning
and preparing for these various functions and festivals on a contractual basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PREMISES, and
of the faithful performance by each of the parties of the covenants and agree-
ments herein made, it is mutually agreed between the parties as follows:
1. That Sydnor will do all the work necessary, including planning
and preparation, to complete the following social functions and festivals of
the City of Clearwater: Fun IN Sun; Advisory Board Dinner; Phillies Dinner;
Suncoast League Luncheon; Various Coffees, including Mr. Clearwater,
Realtor Week, and others; and other miscellaneous events for which the
City Manager shall request her assistance.
2. That the City will pay to Sydnor the sum of $6.4178 per hour for
such work, an itemized statement of the hours worked shall be submitted
monthly by Sydnor to the City Manager. After approval by the City Manager,
paym.ent shall be made within ten (10) days.
3. That all work to be done under this agreement shall be under the
direct supervision of the City Manager and he shall designate to Sydnor for
the various functions the place in which same is to be held, costs to be
allowed, including paym.ent in accordance with this agreement for services
by Sydnor, type of favors, invitations, etc. and menus to be planned. This
Paragraph #3 is agreed upon in conjunction with Paragraph #5 wherein funds
must be provided as in past years to carry out these functions.

4. That Sydnor shall have desk space available at City Hall with an
IBM Executive Typewriter for the required work, but it is expressly under-
stood that much telephoning and planning may be done in her own home and
the City will reimburse Sydnor for long distance calls made after proof of
such calls are furnished to the City Manager by Sydnor.
5. It is understood between the parties hereto that funds for the
events covered by this agreement shall be maintained in the budget in the
same manner as in past years in order to have sufficient funds to carryon
the various activities.
6. Sydnor is willing to attend all the functions involved in this agreement
and to perform all necessary tasks required, but it is understood that her
husband will be included as a guest at each function at no cost to Sydnor.
7. Sydnor shall use all City supplies as required for such work
and is authorized to purchase last minute essentials, i. e. ribbons for host
and hostess, which are required to complete such functions.
8. Fun 'N Sun Festival requires working on projects the full year
with various meetings throughout and Sydnor agrees to serve on the Fun IN
Sun Advisory Committee representing the City as long as this agreement is
in force and effect.
9. Sydnor may enlist the last minute as sistance of the staff in the
City Manager's Office during the immediate period preceding functions for
Fun 'N Sun and the Advisory Board Dinner due to last minute work required
for telephoning, preparation of name tags, cancellations and changes in
reviewing stand, reception, and work necessary at the Advisory Board
Dinne r .
10. The City Manager may give consideration to payment for car
expense for trips other than to City Hall if gasoline prices soar or City
employees' salaries are raised.

11. This agreement may be terminated by either party giving the
other party thirty (30) days' written notice of such termination.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have set their hands
and seals the day and year first above written.
