REASON FOR REQUEST City Commission approved site plan for this site on
June 19, 1986. This plan included a proposed five (5) feet wide sidewalk
along U.S. 19 for a distance of 528 feet. There is a drainage ditch four
to six feet deep directly under where the proposed sidewalk is to be
installed making it impractical to install a sidewalk at this location.
The sidewalk along Drew Street will be installed per certified site plan.
Section ~S.09 of the Code of Ordinances of the City requires that all land
that abuts a public right-of-way, which is to have new construction on it,
either for residential, commercial, industrial or other purposes, shall have
sidewalks constructed by the Owner on, across or adjacent thereto.
The Owner understands and agrees that if the waiver is granted, the City may
install sidewalks at a future date and assess the owner for the full cost of
