11/27/2007 NEIGHBORHOOD & AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES CITY OF CLEARWATER November 27, 2007 Present: Donald F. Brackett Vice-Chair Peggy M. Sullivan Board Reporter The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall. To provide continuity for research, items are in agenda order although not necessarily discussed in that order. 3 – Approval of Minutes – May 8, and July 10, 2007 Member Corriveau moved to approve the minutes of the regular Neighborhood and Affordable Housing Board meeting of May 8, 2007, as recorded and submitted in written summation to each board member. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Member Cutkomp moved to approve the minutes of the regular Neighborhood and Affordable Housing Board meeting of July 10, 2007, as recorded and submitted in written summation to each board member. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 4 – Proposed FY 2006/07 Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report Housing Manager Michael Holmes stated today’s public hearing was scheduled to receive public feedback regarding the City’s FY (Fiscal Year) 2006/07 Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report. The report demonstrates to the public and federal government how the City spent its funds and achieved its objectives and goals. According to the budget and expenditure summary, the City spent $1.7-million in 2006/07. He thanked subrecipients for their efforts. Audience members offered no comments. Member Coriveau moved that NAHAB (Neighborhood & Affordable Housing Authority Board) recommended approval of the City’s FY 2006/07 Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. 5 – New/Old Business Neighborhood & Affordable Housing 2007-11-27 1 .. .. Items not on the Agenda Housing Economic Development & Housing Director Geri Campos Lopez said staff had done significant planning related to the current housing market. She reported that several housing projects are in the pipeline and will be presented to the board in the next few months. 2007/08 Budget Outline Mr. Holmes said in response to a board request, staff had distributed next year's budget outlines of proposed subrecipient expenditures. 2008 Meeting Schedule Consensus was to adopt NAHAS's meeting schedule for 2008: January 8, March 11, May 13, July 8, October 14, and December 9. Meetings will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
