Honorable Charles LeCher
Mayor, Ci ty of Cl ea rwate r
P.O. Box 4748
Clearwater, FL 33581
Dear Mayor LeCher:
Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 provides
for a periodic review of the practices of recipients of Federal Assis-
tance to determine whether they are complying with nondiscrimination
requi rement s.
:f
Ms. Yvette Boykin, a member of mY staff, conducted such a review of the
Clearwater Community Development Block Grant Program. The materials and
facts gathered during the course of the review have been analyzed for
evidence of a failure to comply with any of the civil rights and other
laws administered by~he Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
We did not find any of these authorities violated. We, therefore, advise
you that we are closing this matter in our files.
Thank you for the courtesies and cooperation you and your staff extended
Ms. Boykin. If we can be of assistance to you in the future, please do
not hesitate to call upon us.
